METROID MANGA |
It's time for Mehcadrake's obligatory "And Now For Something Completely Different" moment.
I am a Metroid fan, but then again, who isn't? What I have here is a joint effort between me, Tim (owner of Megaman Network, a nice fellow whose name I don't have at the moment, and Nintendo of Japan's site. Nintendo's Japanese Metroid site is home to a Metroid E-Manga. What's an E-Manga? A manga that's done in Flash, and includes sound effects, music, and minimal animation. They're cool, but require hellishly long loading times and are all but inaccessable to anyone without DSL or Cable. Thus, to accomidate those in need, I screencaptured each page and uploaded the stills. I was pleasantly surprised when Tim and the Nameless Nice Person translated them all. Since, the way I hear it, this manga is considered official, it's a must-read for Metroid fans, 'cause it gives us an idea of how Samus grew up. Have fun, and see you next mission ... or something. No, I don't think Samus' father is hot. Not at all ... December 9, 2005 -- This just in: I'm a drooling omadhaun. The first eight pages of Volume 2 were actually the ending of the story, not the beginning. I've fixed this huge error, and now it's safe to say that the story truly concludes itself. So to those of you asking when I'll be getting the ending to the e-manga, the answer is ... NEVAH! The story's done! Gloria!
Thanks to everyone who pointed out the error and waited patiently for me to fix it.
